As part of the lovely Literary Festival, I will be running a workshop - 'How To Needle Felt a Hare Brooch', inspired by the wonderful book, The Running Hare, by John Lewis-Stempel.
This will take place in Crickhowell Library...
A lovely, relaxed Workshop, with tea & cake provided... Learn (or develop skills) to needle felt, sculpt wool into a 3D portrait of a hare, and create your own brooch to take home!
Needle felting uses special barbed needles, sheepswool and a felting pad - I will guide you through the process and you will learn a little about the history of felt making whilst you have lots of fun! I will bring local and native, natural wools for you to choose from and use in your design.
If you have a particular photograph or picture that you would like to use for reference, please do bring them along. There will be some others available for reference too.
All materials, tuition, and wools are provided - £25 per person.
The day runs from 10am - 12.30pm, with refreshments.
