Garden Birds needle felting Workshop

  • Denamrk Farm COnservation Centre Betws Bledrws Lampeter Wales (map)

During this workshop you will be using, and finding out about, native hand-dyed wool, and the different methods of felt-making. We will be needle-felting a bird sculpture using the core wool method, and create one of the more popular garden visitors – such as a blue tit, robin, or wren.

The barbed needles are used to fuse the fibres and sculpt the wool into your preferred creature! You can bring in photos to work from, or browse through the resources available.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities, including beginners. Emma will guide you through the techniques and you will be able to take home your completed bird at the end of the workshop. There will also be the opportunity to purchase a kit to go home and continue to needle felt!
