Well, typing 'commissions' just wouldn't follow all that lovely alliteration, would it! ;-)
SO, this winter is stuffed full of fabulous workshop dates, please pop along to the tab 'workshops' and check out the calendar to see if you would like to come to any of them, some are fully booked, some have a few places left ... thank you to all of you who have booked so far.
We have workshops in Builth Wells, Abergavenny, Talgarth, Lampeter, Newport, Tredegar House, my cottage, Monmouth... and I am pleased to say that I have dates booked in 2018 as well.
There are also some artisan markets and craft fayres that I will be attending with felty gifts for sale. I am organising two of the events, one in Brecon and one is Hay, both of which are raising funds for local charities, so please do come along or just share the links , thank you!
I am VERY excited to announce that I have been accepted for a stand at the Contemporary Textiles Fair in Teddington in March! I am bus planning some new designs and makes for that! I have also been asked by River Cottage to run workshops at BOTH their music and food festivals now, so I will be there twice next year, which is just wonderful and I am going to be announcing a rather special surprise for the May event soon...
Last month I received a lovely email from Barbara, in Italy , who found my Facebook page, and fell in love with Blodwyn, the life size sheep head I created a couple of years ago. Barbara chatted to me about her preferred breed of sheep, the size of its head for me to make etc, and when we were both happy, I began to make it! Just as I was nearing completion, Barbara messaged me excitedly as she had also spotted one of my 'Dryad' feltscapes, and asked if I would mind making another to send with the ram she had ordered! I was thrilled to make both these pieces... they are now completed and winging their way over to Italy - can't wait to see pics of them when they are at 'home'.
I hope you are all wrapped up warm and look forward to seeing you soon!
