Surprise Subscription Boxes!

Hello folks!

I have been sending monthly (or thereabouts) newsletters - if you'd like to sign up, let me know by filling in the form on the contact tab - and have neglected the blogs here!

It has been a busy year, with new ventures and even more workshops, and I am thrilled that so many folk wish to get creative! I am especially thankful to the 'regulars', who attend lots of my workshops and have been improving their skills each time - there are some rather gorgeous creations appearing!

New venues this year include the Weekend workshops at the Yurt and Tipi Woodlands near Ross on Wye - wow, what a beautiful weekend. You can find details about it on my calendar tab, as there is another being held in October :) Your ticket includes 3 nights' camping in a yurt or tipi, 8 workshops, hot and cold drinks... and a STUNNING location.

In addition to attending the River Cottage Music Festival, I was asked to run workshops at the River Cottage Food Fair in May this year. It was just as much fun, although we may have eaten much more ;-) What was lovely was on the first morning, a family running down the hill to join us, as they loved the workshops so much last August that they wanted to make sure they didn't miss out on getting places ! That really made my day!

One of the new things I have begun this year is subscription boxes. There are some folk who LOVE kits and having a set pattern or theme, but whilst chatting to lots of you this year, some of you seemed to fancy just a box of fleece to 'play' with. So, monthly and quarterly boxes were born! They are £20 and contain approx 80-100g of local, hand-dyed and natural wool tops, plus extra textiles, textured wool and treats, and always one surprise! There is a suggested theme in case you need a start... so far they are proving very popular. If you'd like to know more, pop me an email :)

I am also taking the Workshop Wagon out and about to run free workshops this year, as I try each year... and I am fund-raising to buy wool so kiddies can experience creative sessions - if you would like to be part of this cause, please follow this link:

This week I am mostly making up kits ready for the festivals - as well as hares, badgers and foxes, I will also have unicorn kits - I am excited about these! And I am creating a new, slightly smaller kit - lots of folk say that needle felting reminds them of doing voodoo, so you will find out what these kits will make at the Green Man Festival!

So, let me know what you are up to this month, and look forward to seeing you soon!
